I graduated from Strathclyde Business School (BA Hons) in 2002 and after working in various Graduate Development Programmes
I was unfulfilled in my work life. I changed career direction and worked as a Learning Mentor in a Primary School and later
as a School Attendance Officer where I supported many vulnerable children, young people and parents/carers.

Issues I supported pupils and parents/carers with included:

            - Anger Management

            - Behaviour

            - Depression

            - Bereavement

            - Teenage Pregnancy

            - Abuse

            - Addictions

            - Youth Offending

I am passionate about child development and completed a Post-Graduate Certificate in Emotional Education
at The University of Derby in 2009. This is where my love of self-awareness and the anatomy of emotion began.
I then decided to train as a Counsellor and I felt like this was a natural calling for me. I began my
studies at Cheshire Therapy Centre and completed a Post-Graduate Diploma Counselling and Psychotherapy at The University of Strathclyde.
After twelve years working supporting children, young people and families at school and in the community I now
run my own private practice and also work for a national children's charity.

I am an Individual Member of the
British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).
I am a caring individual who will show warmth and respect.  I will also challenge when I feel it is appropriate
        to do so.
